Death is inevitable and thus it had hit the Nigerian movie industry again snatching away a veteran and highly respected actor.

The Yoruba movie genre of Nollywood has been thrown into mourning as ailing veteran Nollywood actor, Kayode Odumosu, popularly known as Pa Kashumu, is dead.

The actor who has been out of circulation for a while due to ill health lost the battle of life on Sunday, March 1, 2020.

The news of his death was announced by actress Foluke Daramola-Salako via her Instagram handle.

Legit.ng had earlier reported that the 66-year-old Nollywood legendary actor, Pa Kasunmu, lost his sight and had a problem walking after suffering from an unknown illness.

It was also reported that the late thespian was said to have been suffering from both liver and heart ailments which later affected his memory and eyesight. The condition was said to have deteriorated after he could not raise enough money to fund his medical trip to India so as to continue his treatment.

Pa Kasunmu caused a lot of emotional roller coaster after recently making an appearance at an event by actress Foluke Daramola. The event was said to be meant for celebrating veteran and aged Nollywood practitioners most of whom are rarely seen in movies or public again due to old age.

Recall also that Legit.ng reported that Foluke Daramola-Salako came to the aid of the much loved Yoruba actor, Pa Kasumu, as she donated a brand new wheelchair to him so as to aid his movement within the house.

The screen diva also went on to charge well-meaning Nigerians and movie enthusiasts to continue supporting veteran acts that gave their sweat in laying the foundation of the Nigerian movie industry.

Pa Kasunmu will be missed for his style of comic relieve in movies which no doubt will elicit laughter from the viewers anytime he appeared on TV screens.
