An Italian-Nigerian professional footballer named King Paul Akpan Udoh has reportedly emerged as the first footballer to be diagnosed with the deadly corona-virus.

The entire world has been thrown into serious panic since the outbreak of the deadly disease which emanated from China in which hundreds are currently battling for survival.

Until he was said to have been confirmed a carrier of the disease, King Paul Akpan was playing in the Italian third division side with Pianese.

King Paul Udoh, 22, was reported to have been diagnosed with deadly corona-virus on Thursday, February 27, and he has been quarantined according to various reports.

He started his professional career at Reggiana before moving to Juventus youth team in the year 2011.

Before joining Pianese in the Italian lower division, King Udoh had stint at Fernana and Faro before he was asked to leave the sides.

Meanwhile, nothing has been heard from his club about the reported incident concerning King Udoh who is said to have been quarantined.

Last week, many Italian Serie A games were postponed due to the outbreak of the disease in the country in which side like Inter Milan had their stadium locked.

Italian Serie A chiefs are said to have proposed playing games behind closed doors to the government as another precaution for the virus.

A final communication is expected from the government on the FA's proposal on the deadline epidemic.

The virus has also been discovered in Nigeria with an Italian man reported to have brought it to Lagos according to the Federal Ministry of Health.
