SPAL vs Juventus saw the champions ran away with a 2-1 win as they maintain their stand on top of the Serie A log
Cristiano Ronaldo and Aaron Ramsey scored for the Bianconeri as Andrea Petagna's spot-kick was not enough to keep his side in the match.
Ronaldo thought he had scored in the fourth minute when he was played through with a pass from Paulo Dybala before applying the finish.
But the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) correctly spotted the 35-year-old in an offside position as the home side breathe a sigh of relief.
The Portuguese's persistence in the attack paid off in the 39th minute as Juan Cuadrado delivered a pin-point cross for Ronaldo to score in his 11 straight Serie A game.
He becomes the third player in the history of the Italian league to score in 11 consecutive league matches after Argentina's Gabriel Batistuta and Italy's Fabio Quagliarella.
Juve came out stronger in the second half as the bottom side were struggling to keep up with the quality of the champions.
Ramsey was asking questions in the opening ten minutes of the second period but his curling shot went agonizingly wide.
But the Welshman got his answer as he connected on a lovely pass from Dybala to chip the ball over the arriving goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
Daniele Rugani had a late challenge on Petagna in the box as SPAL were awarded a penalty in the 67th minute. Petagana stepped up and made it 2-1 to keep their comeback hopes alive.
Ronaldo's 86th minute free kick rattled the cross-bar as the Portuguese talisman was denied a brace in the match.
Juve took all three points home as they maintain top spot with four points with Inter Milan yet to play their outstanding fixture against Sampdoria.
