Wakanda-themed mass wedding fully-funded for couples gets held in the US
- A Wakanda-themed wedding has been held for 12 couples at Atlanta at no cost to any of them
- Apart from the wedding, which was themed “A Wedding in Wakanda" being completely free, the couples were encouraged to wear African inspired garments
- The senior pastor at the church where the ceremony was held said he wanted to eliminate the financial burden of organizing weddings
Twelve couples at a metro Atlanta Church had a Wakanda-themed mass wedding that was inspired by the Marvel movie, ‘Black Panther’, fully sponsored for them on February 16, 2020.
Nsuri.com confirms that the couples were literally guests at their own wedding as all the wedding expenses were at no cost to any of the couples.
To give the mass wedding a vivid Wakanda touch, the New Birth church where the grand event took place encouraged the couples to wear African inspired garments.

According to the New Birth senior pastor, Jamal Harrison Bryant, he was inspired to organize such an unprecedented wedding ceremony by his desire to remove financial burdens associated with weddings.
“We wanted to remove the financial barriers that would burden or even deter couples from having a wedding ceremony,” said the senior pastor.
At the ceremony that was dubbed “A Wedding in Wakanda", the pastor further indicated that weddings need to be more about the couple’s commitment to each other than themselves.
According to him, his hope is that the couples would imbibe this lesson given the nature of the wedding ceremony that was held for them.

One of the show's viewers, Sandile, came to him for help. Sandile asked him to help inform his wife, MaNzama, of his desire to take a second wife; a request she said an emphatic no to.
It should be noted that Sandile had been cheating on his wife with a side chick called Zinhle before he went on the show to ask for Musa's help.
In the effort to explain the man's situation to the wife, he said: “Cheating is for western people. We don't cheat, we fall in love.”
