Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Blue Ivy remain seated during American national anthem recital

- Beyoncé and Jay-Z are arguably one of the most influential couples in the world

- However, that does not mean people are ready to let them do as they please

- The couple, and their daughter, remained seated during the National Anthem performance at Super Bowl LIV and people were not happy about it

Beyoncé and Jay-Z attended Super Bowl LIV and you'd expect them to make headlines - they are after all world-famous.

However, the pair and their daughter made news for the wrong reason. They had quite a lot of people worked up and upset when they chose to remain seated during Demi Lovato's performance of the National Anthem.

Showing respect during the song is very important for Americans and they feel the Carter family was being very rude.

Everyone around the family was standing and this made their choice to sit even more obvious.

Legit.ng noticed that comments about the matter were flooding social media platforms. Here's what a few upset peeps had to say

@RyanAFournier: "Jay-Z and Beyoncé sat during the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Seems to me, the people who benefit the most from this country also have the most hate for it..."

@iheartmindy:"When the anthem came on we stood up in silence till it was over...and we were at home on the couch keeping it simple. Beyoncé and Jay Z could have at least stood up while the anthem of the country that made them rich and famous play. Elitest leftist scumbags, all of them."
