Juventus have established a six point gap at the top of Serie A following their 3-0 victory over Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium.
Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed a brace from two penalties while Matthijs De Ligt scored his first goal since his summer move from Ajax.
German Pezzella conceded a penalty in the 39th minute and was shown a yellow card by referee Fabrizio Pasqua.
Ronaldo stepped up and converted the resulting spot-kick to score his 18th of the season and his eight in the New Year.
The Portuguese added his second from another penalty award to the Bianconeri, this time, the 34-year-old sent goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski the wrong to make it 2-0 in the 80th minute.
It was Ronaldo's 50th goal for Juventus in 70 matches and his 19th Serie A goal in 19 matches in the 2019-20 campaign.
The champions were not done yet as De Ligt headed home a 90th minute header from Paulo Dybala's corner kick to seal a 3-0 victory for Juve.
Up next for Maurizio Sarri's men is Verona before taking on Lyon in the first leg of their round of 16 Champions League campaign.
