We will hold Obaseki, IGP responsible if Oshiomhole is killed - Edo lawmakers-elect

- Governor Obaseki has been accused of recruiting a killer squad whose mission is to kill Oshiomhole

- The allegation was made by lawmakers-elect who are loyal to the APC chairman

- Obaseki, however, also reacted with a counter-allegation that Oshiomhole and his supporters are the ones causing violence in Edo state

Accusations and counter-accusations are flying around in Edo state as the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state deepens.

The 14 lawmakers-elect who are loyal to Adams Oshiomhole have accused the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, of recruiting a killer squad whose mission is to kill the APC national chairman.

They also accused the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, the petitions sent to him in the wake of the spate of attacks allegedly carried out by Governor Obaseki's alleged thugs.

They, therefore, raised the alarm that the Edo state governor and the IGP should be held responsible if Oshiomhole is killed.
