- On Thursday, January 30, 2019, popular pastor Bishop Oyedepo of Winners Chapel was denied visa at the US Embassy
- It was gathered that the popular pastor created a scene after he was denied the visa

- Nigerians on social media are now reacting to the news
Pastors in Nigeria are revered and given a godlike status by many people and these same ‘fans’ find it strange to see them act like regular people in some cases.
Pastors in Nigeria are also quite controversial as people have started to question their actions. Just recently, it was reported by This Day that popular man of God, Bishop Oyedepo, created a scene at the US Embassy in Lagos.
According to reports online, the pastor visited the embassy on Thursday, January 30, 2020, and was denied a US visa. After he was denied, sources told This Day that the man of God created a serious scene and questioned the reason behind the denied renewal of his visa.
The report has however been debunked by the US embassy. The embassy, through its official Twitter handle, debunked the reports, branding it as false news.
After the news was reported by various media outlets, Nigerians have taken to social media to react to it. A number of people slammed the preacher for causing a scene while others made jokes about how he wanted to call on man to intervene instead of calling God.

Just recently, Legit.ng reported that the US said it will no longer issue visas to foreigners who want to give birth in the country.
Trump's administration on Thursday, January, 23, disclosed that the new visa rules are aimed at restricting women from travelling to the US to give birth so their children can have a coveted US passport.
