Grammy 2020: Singer Wizkid trends on Twitter over Burna Boy's loss

Singer Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid is one of the most talked about artists in the Nigerian music industry.

Interestingly, even when the singer is not saying or doing anything on social media, people always have something to say about him.

Following the loss of singer Burna Boy at the recently concluded Grammy Awards, which took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, on Sunday, January 26, many have managed to drag Wizkid into the matter.

Some music lovers took to Twitter with the claims that a lot of people only wanted Burna Boy to win the Best World Music Album category, so that they can use the opportunity to drag Wizkid and remind him about how he is far from being the biggest artist in Nigeria.

"One even said, Burna didn't win that all his draft will now go to waste. I told him to change Burna's name to Angelique Kidjo but he can't, you know why? It's cos it's they are tweets meant to ridicule Wizkid... but God no shame us," a tweet read.

Similarly, some others that reacted to the first Grammy win of international rapper J.Cole, for his efforts on a collaborative project, wondered why Wizkid was not given the same recognition when a song he featured on was nominated.
