Leah Sharibu's father, Nathan has reacted to news that his daughter currently in Boko Haram has given birth to a baby.

According to the news, the Dapchi school girl has reportedly been married off to a commander of the Boko Haram terrorist group.

This was disclosed in a phone conversation with Channels Television.

He would rather not make any comment on the issue.

He added his concern is to see his daughter alive.

Recall that Legit.ng reported that Leah had reportedly given birth to a baby boy.

It was reported that an anonymous source claimed the young lady put to bed in the early hours of Saturday, January 25.

Leah who was 14 years old when she was kidnapped in 2018 has been held hostage by the insurgents for allegedly refusing to renounce her Christian faith when her colleagues were released.

It was reported that Leah was married off to a top Boko Haram commander who lives outside the country.

According to the report, Leah gave birth in Niger Republic. The source claimed that it was Leah's pregnancy that stopped the terrorists from releasing her a few months ago.

Also recall that Jennifer Ukambong Samuel, an aid worker recently rescued from Boko Haram's captivity, had recently said Leah was doing fine.

Giving updates about her well being on Sunday, January 19, in Jos, Jennifer, who was attached to Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA), said though she did not see Leah, another woman held by the insurgents, identified as Alice, confirmed to her that she was doing fine.
