Early life
Lomachenko was born on February 17, 1988, to Anatoly Lomachenko and Tetiana Lomachenko in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Ukraine. He has a sister Anastasiia Lomachenko. Anatoly was a professional boxer. Currently, he trains his son, Vasyl.
On the day he was born, his father placed a pair of boxing gloves on him. Anatoly wanted him to be a boxer from the onset. Since then, Vasyl has loved boxing. He started training at an early age such that he cannot recall how the coaching began.
