The armed police escorts travelling with Yusuf reportedly engaged the gunmen but they escaped while one of the shots hit the trado-medical expert who died later of his bullet injuries.

The ongoing investigations by the police have, however, uncovered a new development, following the discovery of the destruction of some financial records at Oko Oloyun's Lagos office.
