Buhari re-appoint Shehu Garba, 1 other as assistants

- Shehu said the appointment of the two assistants to the president took effect from October 15, 2019
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, January 22, approved the re-appointment of Dr Samuel Ankeli, as his senior special adviser on disability matters in Nigeria.
The president also approved the re-appointment of Shehu Garba as the special assistant, disability matters.
A statement signed by President Buhari's special assistant on media and publicity, Garba Shehu said the appointment of Ankeli and Garba will take effect from October 15, 2019.
The appointment by the president comes a few days after Bayero Salih-Farah was confirmed as the substantive head of Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT).
Disclosing Salih-Farah's appointment on Tuesday, January 21, Paul Mshelizah, the NITT's director of public affairs, said the appointment will take effect from Monday, January 13.
Salih-Farah, born in 1964 in Kaduna state is a graduate of Geography from the Usman Dan Fodio University.
He started working with NITT in 1994.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the president appointed Muhammad Nami as the new chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
Nami replaced the former chairman of the FIRS Tunde Fowler whose tenure as the chairman of the foremost revenue collection agency had expired.

The newly appointed chairman of the FIRS became a professional tax consultant after graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
