Izz al-Din Bahader is not giving up on the game he loves so much as he looks to continue his career as a Septuagenarian.
The 75-year-old needs to play just two games to become the oldest man alive to play an official match after signing for a third division club in Egypt.
A video of Bahader's training on social media showed his abilities, fitness level and looks ready to compete in the game.
The pensioner could also lift weights, do ball works and drills and involving in other strenuous exercises.
Itzhak Hayk currently holds the record for the oldest man to have played a professional game at the age of 74.
The Iraqi-born Israel man was a goalkeeper in the fifth division of the country's league, set the record where he featured in a game that his team lost by 4-1.
Guinness World Record mediators were present at the record-breaking event at Maccabi Ironi where Hayk was presented with his plaque.
Robert Carmon previously held the record at the age of 53 in October 2015 where he featured for his Uruguayan side Club Pan de Azúcar.
Meanwhile, Hayk made history for himself playing on a pitch surrounded by fences containing his name on as he is the owner of a company that specialises in stage equipment.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that top Japanese side Yokohama FC has confirmed that 52-year-old Kazuyoshi Miura has received a new contract with the J1-League side.
The striker will now be playing in his 35th season as a professional player and remains the only player still in active football since the J-League was created in 1993.
