Atiku Abubakar congratulates PDP governors over tribunal verdicts

- Atiku Abubakar has congratulated governors elected on the platform of the PDP over their victorious at the tribunal

- The governors are, Ortom Samuel, Fintiri Ahmadu, Bala Mohammed, and Aminu Tambuwal

- Going further, Atiku also commended Nigerians for what he described as steadfastness

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Governors Ortom Samuel, Ahmadu Fintiri, Bala Mohammed, and Aminu Tambuwal, over their victories at the Supreme Court.

Atiku who was the presidential candidate of the PDP in the last presidential election also commended Nigerians for what he described as steadfastness.

Atiku disclosed this on his Twitter page on Tuesday, January 21.

"I commend Nigerians on their steadfastness and further congratulate Governors @OrtomSamuel, @GovAFintiri, @SenBalaMohammed, and @AWTambuwal, on their victories at the Supreme Court," Atiku said in the tweet.

Meanwhile, some Nigerians have also joined Atiku in congratulating the governors.

Kabiru Murtala Muhd Gwarzo in his reaction wrote: "Indeed sir. we appreciate for the beautiful moment All Nigerians we believe that victory is your victory sir."

Gideon Kink on his part wrote: "With so much love we appreciate you, Sir. Your unending support for the common Nigerian is our hope."

Some Nigerians, however, accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of wanting to have a position in the southeast part of the country.

"Now is obvious APC wanted to get a hand in southeast. They just wanted Imo state," another social media user commented

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the Kano chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) accepted the verdict of the Supreme Court which on Monday, January 20, favoured Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

Speaking after the ruling of the apex court in Abuja, the chairman of the PDP in Kano, Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, said that the party has finally conceded defeat, Vanguard reports.
