President Muhammadu Buhari and the national leader of All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, January 7, met behind closed doors in Aso Rock.

Nigerian Tribune reports that the APC leader spoke to the State House correspondents after his meeting with the president.

Legit.ng gathered that Tinubu described scheming for 2023 presidential election now as restlessness.

Tinubu's comment came just as reports emerged that there are plans to block his ambition to become Nigeria's president.

Legit.ng had previously reported an alleged plot being hatched by some governors of the APC to stop the presidential ambition of Tinubu.

It was reported that the alleged plot to derail Tinubu’s ambition was being backed by second-term governors and some immediate past governors of the party.

Unnamed sources in the party had reported that directly connected to the plot against Tinubu was a plan to remove the APC national chairman Adams Oshiomhole.
