Popular Nigerian fashion influencer and blogger Noble Igwe has responded to the heavy criticism he received on social media, after sharing a photo of one of his fun activities during his visit to his hometown for the holidays.
Igwe had shared a photo in which he was spotted fetching water from a stream. However, many criticised the image by noting that he is glorifying a failed system as opposed to looking for ways to make things better.
He was also accused of portraying Igboland as a place where there are no boreholes or bathrooms.

Reacting, he returned to social media to shut down his critics. Igwe wondered why people seemed to have a problem with him sharing the things he loves about his village.
“I’m promoting the things I like about my community but all you care about is borehole? Insecure people always trying to show off riches. I’d leave Lagos to show you borehole in Umuomaku,” his post read on twitter.
