BREAKING: Jigawa House of Rep member dies in Dubai
A report by The Nation indicates that the member representing Garki/ Babura federal constituency of Jigawa state, Hon Muhammad Gawo is dead.
According to the report, the federal lawmaker died in Dubai while undergoing medical treatment over a disease associated with his legs.
Legit.ng checks reveal that the lawmaker is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Aged 74, the late Fagen Gawo was in his second term as a member of the National Assembly. He left behind 10 children and a wife.
The news comes a day after a member of the Sokoto state House of Assembly, Isa Harisu, slumped and later died on his way to the hospital on Monday, December 30.
Deputy speaker of the House, Abubakar Magaji, who confirmed the incident, said Harisu slumped when he arrived at the office complex to attend the day’s plenary.
He said the deceased, who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was rushed to Usman Danfodiyo university teaching hospital after he slumped.

Recall that earlier this month, the senator representing Imo North senatorial district in the Nigerian Senate, Benjamin Uwajumogu died at the age of 51.
The senator died in the early hours of Wednesday, December 18 after he slumped.
Days before Uwajumogu's death, a member of the House of Representatives, Jafaru Iliyasu Auna, died in Abuja after a brief illness.
The lawmaker, who represents Magama/Rijau federal constituency of Niger state, died on Monday morning, December 2.
A close associate of the lawmaker stated that Illiyasu died in his sleep.
