The All Progressives Congress (APC) has asked Nigerians to expect more democratic dividends from the Muhammadu Buhari administration in the year 2020.
The ruling party in a New Year message signed by its national publicity secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, stated that “Nigerians are assured that the ongoing massive infrastructural development covering the rail, road, agriculture, aviation, port, education and health sectors would be given a further fillip.”
The APC further stated that the Buhari government “is vigorously tackling and solving the social, economic and security challenges our country faces one after the other.”
“Government's successes in plugging revenue leakages, checking violent extremism, oil sector reforms, anti-corruption, economic diversification, curbing waste, infrastructure development among other achievements are a profound testament,” Issa-Onilu noted.
The party assured all Nigerians that the faithful execution of policies and programmes of this current administration would be further intensified in this New Year.
“We acknowledge and hold dear the trust and faith Nigerians have placed in the APC-led federal government. We will not let Nigerians down.
“We urge Nigerians to also play their part by cooperating with the government to achieve its development plans for our shared progress,” the party said.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the APC has overstretched the limits of Nigerians by trivializing and politicizing the unemployment situation in Nigeria.
The main opposition party warned the ruling APC to be ready to face the consequences of the unemployment situation in the country ahead of 2023.
“The PDP holds that for attempting to distort and muffle facts on unemployment, which are already in the public domain, the APC has confirmed that it remains an Automated Lying Machine, which has never been interested in the welfare of Nigerians,” a statement sent to the media on Sunday, December 29 by Kola Ologbodiyan, PDP spokesman noted.
