The Ekiosa market in Benin City has been razed by fire. According to the Nation, a huge part of the market was gutted by the fire on Sunday, December 22.

However, at the time of writing this, Legit.ng could not establish what led to the inferno nor the extent of damage it has caused both in terms of lives and properties.

Meanwhile, rescue operations are still ongoing as at the time of filing this report.

Also recall that that Legit.ng had reported that popular Balogun market in Lagos state caught fire with a lot of properties lost to flames.
