NDDC: Oshiomhole got approval for board without Buhari’s consent - Obaseki

-The Edo state governor claimed that APC national chairman did this with the help of top officers in the presidency while the president was not in the country
The governor of Edo, Godwin Obaseki, has accused the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole, used top officials in the presidency to secure the approval of the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Obaseki, speaking on Saturday, December 21, through his spokesperson, Crusoe Osagie, alleged that Oshimhole got the NDDC board approved without the consent and knowleged of President Muhammadu Buhari, since, according to the governor, the president was not in the country at the time, The Cable reports.
Osagie, said: “A case in point is the recent incident when the president was away from the country and Comrade Oshiomhole got top officials at the presidency to approve the composition of the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), made up of his cronies apparently in violation of the existing rules."
The spokeperson also alleged that the APC boss was intending to use the NDDC to fund a political tension in Edo so that he can take over state.

He said: "All he wanted was to achieve his aim and keep Edo state under his stranglehold as the new godfather.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Oshiomhole had been reportedly suspended by the party at his home state, Edo.
Oshiomhole was said to have received a vote of no confidence from the party following the alleged roles he was said to have played in the crisis rocking the APC in Edo.
The no confidence voted was passed by the chairmen of the APC in the 18 local government areas of the state.
