Nigeria has witnessed real progress under your watch - Senator Uba Sani salutes Buhari at 77

The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central in the Senate, Uba Sani, has joined prominent Nigerians to congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari on the occasion of his 77th birthday.

Legit.ng's regional reporter in Kaduna, Nasir Dambatta, reports that the senator in his birthday message to the president described Buhari as an international statesman and epitome of integrity.

Senator Sani said that despite huge challenges, Nigeria has made real progress under President Buhari's watch, adding that the Nigerian leader has placed the country irreversibly on the path to sustainable growth and development.

He noted that the country has regained its respect in the comity of nations, saying that investors have renewed their confidence in Nigeria's economy.

The lawmaker also lauded the president's style of fighting corruption as he affirmed that Buhari has made a bold statement that African leaders could be competent, affable, honest, incorruptible, humane and selfless through his exceptional public service.

He said: "I join Nigerians, Africans and indeed people across the globe to felicitate with President Muhammadu Buhari on the joyous occasion of his 77th birthday. Despite huge challenges, Nigeria has made real progress under President Buhari's watch. He has steadied the "ship of state" and placed the country irreversibly on the path to sustainable growth and development.

"He is tackling corruption with zeal. He has rolled out a programme to frontally address the twin challenges of unemployment and poverty. Under his exemplary leadership, Nigeria has regained its respect in the comity of nations. Investors have renewed their confidence in our economy and Nigerian citizens now hold their heads high in foreign lands."

"We thank God for the gift of President Muhammadu Buhari. He is an icon and role model, an inspiration to African leaders and all those who aspire to leadership positions."

He, therefore, prayed for God's guidance, protection over the president, who, according to him, has rededicated himself to the service of Nigeria and humanity.
