Lady who struggled through school bags PhD from US university

Nigerian women are becoming citadels of knowledge by pursuing and gaining high levels of education. Another beautiful lady, Promise Okolie Allan, recently bagged a PhD from the University of Alabama, USA and shared how her dreams came to reality with dedication and hard work.

In a post shared on her Facebook page, Allan revealed that it was a lot of struggle trying to get her degree. It took all her time and energy but she never gave up and today, she's grateful for pursuing her dreams and having the strength to see it through.

According to Allan, she thought it would not work and she recalls days when she couldn't get her mind to produce materials as much as she wanted to. However, in the end, she got her degree and stated that the energy-draining days are over.

She reiterated her new name, asking for people to now refer to her as Dr. Promise Chikwadom Allan, DNP, MSN, CRNP, FNP-C.

Meanwhile, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), congratulated Lawal Olufemi on his impressive academic achievements as he graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Olufemi on Saturday, December 14, shared his academic feat on Twitter, indicating that he graduated as the best graduating student for the 2017/18 academic session with a historic 4.98 CGPA of 5.0.
