Buhari lands in Abuja after 2 days in Egypt for ASWAN forum
- President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Abuja, Nigeria's capital, after participating in a forum in Egypt
- Buhari's arrival was confirmed by presidential aides including Bashir Ahmad
- During the event, the president urged African countries to focus on the issues of conflict prevention and resolution.
After two days in Egypt for a forum on sustainable peace and development in Africa, President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city, in the afternoon of Friday, December 13.
Buhari's arrival was confirmed by Bashir Ahmed, one of his aides.
The aircraft which conveyed Buhari and others in the delegation arrived the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 2.30 pm, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
A video from Buhari Sallau, a presidency official also highlighted the moments the president left Egypt and when he arrived Abuja.
Legit.ng earlier reported when President Buhari departed the country to participate in the forum scheduled to hold between December 11 and 12.
His departure was also captured in a video shared by the presidency on the Aso Rock Villa's Facebook page.
Meanwhile, while attending the forum, President Buhari had declared that the resolution of conflict situations in African countries remains a key component in the overall development of the continent.
The president disclosed this on Wednesday, December 11, during the opening session of the forum.

He said as Africans, it is important to focus on the issues of conflict prevention and resolution.
