Anthony Joshua eyeing heavyweight fight with either Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua world heavyweight champion has seems to be finally ready to face-off with American boxer Deontay Wilder in a unification bout next year.
The British-born boxer reclaimed his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles early this month following his victory over former champion Andy Ruiz in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, the Briton is hoping to make history by beating Wilder to become the unified heavyweight in 2020.
The 34-year-old American pugilist has been defending the WBC heavyweight title after defeating Bermane Stiverne in 2015.
"It has to happen in 2020 and we’re in the same division, the same era,” Joshua said on BBC Radio 2’s The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show.
"If these guys want to make history – especially Wilder because he has the last belt – I feel like it’s the Lord of the Rings, the last ring, let’s get it on, let’s make history.
"We created history becoming two-time champion of the world and I feel like we can add to that legacy in 2020."
Joshua is expected to hit the rings once again next March as part of the plan to stage three fights next year.
Though Tyson Fury ve Wilder re-match has definitely ruled the duo out of the opponent he is likely to face early 2020.
The Briton will battle either Kubrat Pulev for the IBF mandatory challenger, or Oleksandr Usyk, who Joshua has been given 180 days by the WBO to fight.

This, however, means the fight against British heavyweight Dillian Whyte will have to be put on the backburner for the foreseeable future.
Joshua added: “It’s Kubrat Pulev or Usyk because Wilder and Fury are penciled to fight, and what happens is a mandatory so there’s rankings and both of those guys are ranked No 1 to challenge me for the belts.
"If I don’t fight those guys I’d have to give up my belts and I’d rather fight to defend it.”
Joshua also hinted that he might be staging his fight at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium: “Why not? I don’t mind where it is. It’s good to be back on London soil I think so Tottenham, if that’s the case, I’ll be happy with that.”
