Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss America meet up for a girl’s night

Reports have revealed that not long after Miss Universe, Zozizbini Tunzi of South Africa was crowned in Atlanta, Miss USA, Cheslie Kryst and Miss America, Nia Franklin, reached out to Zozi to officially welcome her when she arrived in NYC for her press tour.
The three women and Miss Teen USA Kaliegh Garris made pageant history as all four of them are black women who won the major pageants.
The meet-up made complete sense as Cheslie and Zozi will be sharing a New York apartment during their reign.
According to TMZ, the beauty queens met on Wednesday, December 11, at Cheslie and Zozi’s new pad. The American beauties gifted Zozi a painting featuring the trio to commemorate their historic wins.
Cheslie was the first one to appreciate the historic significance of their positions, saying she was proud to be part of the group.
It is believed the girls spoke about their progression, representation and how they hope a clean sweep by women of colour will spark inspiration to women around the globe.
Their deep conversation comes as no surprise, as Miss Universe is an activist who fights against gender-based violence; Miss USA is an attorney who boasts an MBA from Wake Forest; and Miss America advocates for female empowerment and music creativity.
As roommates, Miss USA Cheslie Kryst officially met Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi and they instantly hit it off.

Meanwhile, though South Africa won the crown for the Miss Universe on Sunday, December 8, Miss Myanmar made some sensation as she became the first openly gay woman to compete in Miss Universe.
Aged 21, Swe Zin Htet, made public her s*xuality days before she came to the stage at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday, December 8, Daily Mail reports.
She is also employing her visibility to help the LGBTQ community, especially in her country, where being gay is frowned at.
