What went wrong? How did Juice WRLD die?
Shortly after arriving at Midway International Airport in Chicago, Juice suffered a medical emergency, but what exactly caused it?
As reported, Chicago officers had received information from a federal task force that the plane in which Juice and his entourage were arriving in could have drugs and guns on board. The officers were, therefore, waiting for the plane to arrive and upon its arrival, conducted a search.
While the officers were searching the plane, Juice went into a convulsion. Federal agents then proceeded to administer Narcan, a drug used to revive people that are thought to have overdosed on opioids. This was after the musician's girlfriend, who was part of the entourage, informed them that Juice had been taking Percocet painkillers. Some sources claim that the rapper took the Percocet pills in a helpless bid to hide them from the officers.
It is reported that the rapper briefly woke up and was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center. However, he was pronounced dead at 3:15 am on Sunday.
Did the officers find any drugs on the plane?
Upon searching the plane, the Chicago officers found 70 pounds of marijuana in 41 vacuum-sealed bags; six bottles of liquid prescription codeine cough syrup; and three firearms, including two 9 mm pistols and a .40-caliber pistol, along with metal-piercing bullets and a high-capacity ammunition magazine. None of the 12 or so people on board admitted to carrying the drugs.
It is also reported that two security guards who were accompanying the rapper were arrested on misdemeanour gun charges after the pilot alerted authorities about the presence of firearms on board.
Was this the first time Juice's plane was searched?
This was not the first time the artist was treated to an impromptu plane search. On November 18th at LAX, the rapper and his entourage were boarding a flight to Sydney, Australia, when Custom Agents conducted a search. It is not known whether they found anything as the plane was allowed to take off with Juice on board.
Did Juice predict his death?
Since the demise of the star, many people have come up with theories that somewhat prove the fact that indeed, the artist saw his death coming. One of these theories surrounds the lyrics of his Legends track which read,
"What's the 27 Club?" We ain't making it past 21."
The lyrics are in reference to the celebrities who died at the age of 27. True to these lines, the rapper did not make it past 21.
Another theory points to his December 1st tweet that read,
This life is yours do what tf you want do great things and change the world don't let no one tell you SH*T.. and you'll be bigger than "Juice WRLD" will ever be, and he's going down as a legend - Jarad
Many people worldwide, celebrities and fans of the artists alike, expressed their sadness upon hearing about the artist's death. Some of them include Ellie Goulding, Zedd, and Lil Nas, among many others.
Just after his death, his Lucid Dreams track shot to number 1 on Apple Music Chart.
Juice WRLD adds to the list of young celebrities who died too soon. The artist may be gone, but his talent and loveable personality will never be forgotten.
