Climate change is one of the most worrying challenges world leaders have been consistently deliberating about, with a view to finding effective and lasting solutions. Recently, Nigerian climate change activist, Adenike Oladosu, joined Sweden's Greta Thunberg at the Fridays For Future event held in Madrid.

The activists were joined by hundreds from around the world who were all demanding climate change action. Oladosu and Thunberg posed for a photo which was shared on the official Twitter page of Sweden in Nigeria, showing that the young ones are at the forefront of demanding a safe and secure environment.

It also showed that Nigerian youths like Oladosu are busy trying to change the world in every way they can. The school strike for the climate, also known variously as Fridays for Future, Youth for Climate, Climate Strike or Youth Strike for Climate, is an international movement of school students who take time off from class to participate in demonstrations to demand action to prevent further global warming and climate change.

According to the president, desert encroachment is continuously narrowing the country’s farmlands, posing a great danger to the country’s economic/food sustainability.
