Emmanuel Kucha: EFCC arraigns ex-VC of University of Agric in Makurdi

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned Emmanuel Kucha, a former vice-chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi in Benue.
Kucha was arraigned by the anti-graft agency before a Federal High Court sitting in the state capital on Tuesday, December 3. The case is presided over by Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon.
The suspect is facing a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, misappropriation of public funds and abuse of office.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that operatives of the EFCC in Uyo zonal office had arrested 23 suspects who were alleged to be operators and students of a Yahoo Academy in Akwa Ibom.
According to the statement posted on the commission's page, the suspects were arrested during a raid on Essien Essien Street, Ikot Ibiok village in Eket local government area of the state.
Legit.ng gathers that the operation was jointly carried out by EFCC operatives in Uyo and Abuja in the early hours of Thursday, November 28.
The anti-graft agency said the suspects were arrested after the operatives stormed a building described as 'Yahoo Academy'.
The building is allegedly used for the training of youngsters in various aspects of cyber criminality.
The suspects, according to EFCC, were between the ages of 19 and 35 and have confessed that they were undergoing training in various aspects of cyber criminality such as love scam, online trading scam, theft identity etc.
