- Victor Osimhen caused troubles for Ajax's defence according to Hakim Ziyech
- Lille lost to the Dutch side 2-0 thanks to Ziyech and Promes' strikes
- The Moroccan has now hailed the Nigerian star for his impressive performance
Nigerian sensation, Victor Osimhen, has been hailed by Hakim Ziyech for his stellar performance during the Champions League tie between Ajax and Lille.
Osimhen was in action for the French side on Wednesday night, November 27, as ruthless Erik Ten Hag’s men recorded a thrilling 2-0 victory.
Although the Super Eagles star failed to hit the net, his impressive performance caught the Moroccan star's attention who admitted the Lille forward ''causes problems.''
“They were playing a long ball game, and their centre forward (Osimhen) was causing us some problems," Ziyech told UEFA after the game.
“But they only had a couple of big chances, and otherwise we controlled the game. We definitely deserved to win.”
The 27-year-old midfielder, who clinched the man-of-the-man award, had a goal ruled off by VAR.
But that was not enough to tame Ajax's young-studded side which showed loads of promises in the game as Ziyech and Promes fired two goals inside their hosts' net to record a vital 2-0 victory.
