It is better to be evicted than to be disqualified - BBNaija winner Mercy Eke says

- BBNaija 2019 star and first female winner, Mercy Eke, has started making media rounds after the show

- During an interview with MediaRoomHub, Mercy explained that it’s better to be evicted than disqualified

- The 26-year-old also spoke on her relationship with co-star, Ike

The BBNaija 2019 show kept a number of Nigerians glued to their screens for the whole of 99 days as they watched 26 housemates display themselves on the program.

Well, only one winner emerged on the final day, and she also happens to be the first female winner on the show, Mercy Eke. After winning the show, the young lady granted an interview to MediaRoomHub, where she spoke on her relationship with co-star, Ike, as well as on why it is better to be evicted than disqualified.

Mercy who is fondly called Lambo or Queen of Highlights by fans explained that she had not planned to fall in love on the show but things changed when she met Ike.

She said: “During my audition, I said it, that I was single but not searching. I said to myself I can do it all alone, like I want to play this game alone. I am a big fan of Big Brother Naija. I used to watch the show back to back, I have a particular housemate then I want to be like, during that time I was single, I just want to play it alone and have fun. But when I met Ike, a whole lot of things changed, we started off as best friends, then the house… They started calling us boyfriend and girlfriend even when Ike hasn’t asked me out, they are already instigating, you know when you wake up, you gist and see this person, there are possibilities of falling in love.”

Also sharing words of advice with fans who wish to participate in the show next year, she explained that no matter what they do, they should not allow themselves get disqualified.

Mercy said: “The people out there that are aspiring to go to Big Brother, no matter what you do, do not let yourself get disqualified. Always work on your anger issues, always work on yourself. It’s better to be evicted than to be disqualified.”

She also explained that getting disqualified is a big let down for fans who have spent their hard-earned money on votes.

Interesting advice from Mercy to fans.

Just recently, Legit.ng reported that the BBNaija 2019 winner received a Bible gift from her fans in Abuja during a meet and greet.

During the fun meeting, fans presented the 26-year-old with gifts, one of which included a Bible. Mercy took to her Instastory to thank her fans for the thoughtful gift.
