BREAKING: Appeal Court sacks Senate spokesman, declares PDP candidate winner
The Court of Appeal has sacked spokesman of the Nigerian Senate, Adedayo Adeyeye, as the lawmaker representing Ekiti South senatorial district in the upper chamber of legislature.
Adeyeye, a former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The appellate court declared Senator Biodun Olujimi of the PDP winner of the election.
Olujimi, a former principal officer in the 8th senate, is a former deputy governor of Ekiti state. She had won the case at the lower tribunal in the state weeks back.

The news, which is making the rounds on social media, has triggered some reactions from Nigerians.
Legit.ng reported earlier that the Court of Appeal sitting in Makurdi on Friday, November 1 upheld the election of Senator Gabriel Suswam representing Benue North-East senatorial district.
Senator Suswam, a former governor of Benue state who is of the PDP, defeated Chief Mimi Orubibi of the APC.
