Buhari promises to inject fresh energy into relationship with Russia

- President Buhari says his administration would inject fresh energy into relationship with Russia

- Buhari who called for stronger partnership with the country however said that such pertnership must be humane

- Meanwhile, some Nigerians on social media have commended the president for his leadership roles in Russia

Nigeria's president, Muhammadu Buhari, has declared that his administration would inject fresh energy into the country's relationship with Russia.

The president disclosed this in statement at the second plenary of the Russia-Africa Summit, presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu said in a statement obtained by Legit.ng.

According to Shehu, Buhari also called for a stronger partnership with Russia. According to him, such partnership should be humane, inclusive and diversified.

Meanwhile, some Nigerians on social media have commended the president for his leadership roles in Russia.

Salami Olajide, who commended the president on Facebook said Buhari is a leading light in Africa."It gives me joy that my president is the leading light of Africa. God bless Nigeria, God bless PMB. Safe journey while we await your arrival back in country," he said.

On his part, Auwalu Jamilu said: "We in Nigeria are always optimistic with the leadership of our President, His effort to salvage Nigeria will never be in vain."

However, recall that Legit.ng had reported that Tonye Princewill, a former gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers state said that Russia-Africa 2019 summit was a platform for Nigeria to make many leadership corrections.
