Meet Nigerian-American Rotimi Akinosho signed to 50 Cent's G-Unit Records

The future is bright for Nigerian-American Rotimi Akinosho who is set to feature in anticipated movie, Coming To America 2. Right before securing the major gig, Akinosho who is born to Nigerian parents but is based in the US, already made his mark starring as Darius Morrison on the Starz series Boss, and currently plays as Andre Coleman on Power.

Akinosho not only has a talent in acting, he is also a musician and has released albums that have received massive airplay and doubled his fans all over America and Africa. The 30-year-old multi-talented entertainer is the perfect blend of Nigerian and American and makes sure to serve both sides of his heritage.

It is no surprise that he started winning early. At age 15, he won the Apollo Theater Amateur Night award twice. He attended Columbia High School where he was marked out as a talent both on the school’s basketball team and the choir. He continued his studies at Northwestern University and graduated with a communications minor in business.

Rotimi is the lead model/spokesperson of rapper T.I.’s AKOO Clothing and also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FrontRoSeat productions. He is also signed on to 50 Cent's G-Unit Records.

Meanwhile, US-based Nigerian video director Dapo Fagbenle is breaking barriers.

Fagbenle is a man of many parts; he is a celebrated collegiate basketball player and also an artist and music video director. Born on February 12, 1986, in Lagos, Oladapo Fagbenle, who is professionally known as Daps is a Nigerian-British artist, video director, and former NCAA athlete.

Daps played collegiate basketball in London and later Connecticut and is a graduate of Campbell University, North Carolina.
