Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr has been paid half of the three months salary the Nigeria Football Federation are owing him.

Top Nigerian journalist Osasu Obayiuwana broke the news days after the Brazil international friendly match in Singapore.

Obayiuwana had shared on Twitter how the German born tactician was planning to abandon his contract with the three time African champions after being owed a sum of $150,000.

Though, the NFF, on their part did a rejoinder denying that they are owing the manager, who led the team to win bronze medal in Egypt this summer.

But now Osasu has claimed Rohr has been paid half of the three months salary he is being owed which amounts to $75,000 with another $75,000 yet to be paid.

According to Osasuo, the NFF president vows to pay the remainder of Rohr's salary in the coming days but nothing specific was stated in the post.

Osasuo said on Twitter that: "I understand the NFF has paid 50% of the outstanding 3 months salary (USD 150,000) owed to Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr. The remainder “will be paid soon.” PinnickAmaju says “force majeure” is responsible for the lack of full payment."

Gernot Rohr was appointed head coach of the Super Eagles in 2016 - replacing Sunday Oliseh and qualified the team for both World Cup in 2018, and AFCON in 2019.

It would be recalled that Nigeria missed out of two editions of the continental championships before Rohr's arrival three years back.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Gernot Rohr decided to replace Francis Uzoho with Maduka Okoye due to Ikechukwu Ezenwa's limited playing time for both club and country.

The German born goalkeeper came on in the 60th minute following Uzoho's terrible injury during Brazil friendly game in Singapore.

Rohr insisted that Ezenwa does not even command shirt in the home based Eagles squad for the past few months.
