Nigerians are reacting to the story of a young woman named Cynthia who falsely accused a man identified by his Twitter handle as @ynotes_ of attempting to rape her friend, Anita.
Cynthia took to the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to call out @ynotes_ over the matter. When @ynotes_ came out to defend himself, it was discovered that Anita told her friend, Cynthia, a different story from what truly happened.
Legit.ng earlier reported that the women have admitted to lying and privately apologised to @ynotes_. But after they failed to keep to @ynotes_ demands of retracting their accusations on Twitter, he decided to take them to court.

According to @ynotes_, Cynthia and Anita have been served court papers for false accusations.
Nigerians have reacted to this story. A set of people have hailed @ynotes_ for his decision, stating that Cynthia must go to jail as it would teach other people who derive joy in falsely accusing others, a lesson.
