Kogi west election: Dino Melaye says he will defeat Smart Adeyemi again

Senator Dino Melaye has insisted that he will defeat the candidate of the APC, Smart Adeyemi, in the scheduled Kogi west senatorial election.
The lawmaker made the statement in reaction to the Friday, October 11 verdict of the Court of Appeal which ordered a fresh election in the Kogi west senatorial district.
Speaking in a video posted on his Facebook page, Melaye boasted that he is confident that he will defeat Adeyemi again as he has done in the past.
"I have said it time and time again that Smart Adeyemi is my political wife, I was in APC I contested against him in PDP I defeated him," the lawmaker said.
"I came to PDP, he went to APC I defeated him, that’s 2-0. We are going back for the third time, it would be a hat-trick, I will score the third goal."

In another report, shortly after losing at the Court of Appeal on, Senator Dino Melaye featured in a television series titled Equity Unbound along with other prominent actors.
The Nation reports that some known actors who featured along the senator include Linc Edochie, Victor Decke, Chief Bruno Iwuola and Paul Sambo among others.

He expressed his delight in taking part in the drama series, noting that it was his way of helping to correct social problems in Nigeria.
The lawmaker also urged his supporters to remain calm following the court verdict which ruled against his victory at the 2019 election.
