Sade Adu’s transgender son thanks her for supporting him through his transitioning process

- The young man has finally returned home after spending six months recovering from surgery
Nigerian-born British singer Sade Adu’s transgender son, Izaak Theo, has penned a beautiful message to his mother for her support through his transitioning process from woman to man.
Theo had spent the past six months recovering from his phalloplasty surgery. Phalloplasty is the construction or reconstruction of a male private part and it is a common surgical choice for transgender and non-binary people interested in gender confirmation surgery.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Theo, who was originally born as a girl and known as Ila Adu, started his transitioning process in October 2016 after he discovered he wanted to become a man and not a woman.

Although, Theo described the transitioning process as hard and painful, he has enjoyed the support of his mother through it all.

Theo, who is now at home with his family after recovering from surgery, has taken to his Instagram page to appreciate his mother’s support and encouragement to complete the man that he has become.
He said: "It’s been a long hard road but We did it!! We are coming home!!!! Thank you for staying by my side these past 6 months Mumma. Thank you for fighting with me to complete the man I am. Thank you for your encouragement when things are hard, for the love you give me. The purest heart. I love you so much. Queen of queens."
