Ifeanyi Okowa: Tribunal upholds Delta state governor's election victory
The victory of Governor Ifeanyi of Delta from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last gubernatorial poll on Friday, September 20, upheld by the state's governorship election petition tribunal.
This is coming after Okowa's rival in the election, Chief Great Ogboru of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had claimed before the tribunal that the poll was characterised by over-voting and other alleged irregularities.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the victory of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu had been upheld by the Abia state governorship election tribunal.
The tribunal made the decision on Friday, September 20 at its sitting in Umuahia, the state capital.
The tribunal also dismissed the petition filed by Alex Otti of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA). Ikpeazu, a former commissioner in the state, contested under the PDP.
