Watford on Sunday, September 15, displayed scintillating performance at the Vicarage Road coming back from two goals down to force Arsenal to a 2-2 draw in tough EPL encounter.

After the injury sustained by Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal had no other choice than to put Aubameyang up front alone, and the Gabonese was superb for the Gunners.

The visitors got their first goal in the 21st minute through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who benefited from an assist by Sead Kolasinac.

Aubameyang netted his second goal for Arsenal in the 32nd minute after receiving a fantastic pass from right full back Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Watford had the chance to reduce the scoreline before the halftime when Will Hughes provided a dangerous pass for Tom Cleverly, but he was unable to beat Bernd Leno.

Tom Cleverley reduced the scoreline for Watford in the 53rd minute after gaining an assist from Gerard Deulofeu.

Watford were given a penalty in the 81st minute after David Luiz fouled Pereyra right on the line in which Pereyra stepped forward to convert the kick sending Leno the wrong way.

The match however ended 2-2 in what was a disappointing game for Arsenal fans.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Premier League giants Arsenal were hit with a blow after confirming that striker Alexandre Lacazette is injured and will be out of action until October.

The Gunners stated on their website that the France international has been playing for weeks with the injury and will now need some weeks to rest.
