American popstar and rapper, Nicki Minaj, has left many fans and followers in shock after she announced that she will be retiring from the music scene to start her family.
The top female rapper, who took to Twitter to make the announcement on Thursday, September 5, urged her fans to keep supporting her till the end, reminding them of her love.
She wrote: "I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, ❌ in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. ✅ Love you for LIFE ♥️"

The announcement seemingly came out of nowhere, as Minaj had been very active in the music scene of recent and she had also been teasing plans for a new album she'd been holed up working on following the release of hit song, Megatron.

This is coming barely a few weeks after the celebrated US rapper and her boyfriend Kenneth Petty were spotted getting their marriage license in what seemed like a last minute rush at a Beverly Hills Courthouse.
A source privy to celebrity gossip site TMZ claimed the lovebirds showed up to court on Monday, July 29, and tried their best not to draw any attention from the public.
She first made her relationship with Kenneth official in December 2018 as she celebrated her 36th birthday.
