D’Banj is about to become a father again! What do we know?
It is good news for D'Banj and his wife as the musician announced that he is going to become a father again in a few months. This comes barely 14 months after the two lost a son in a domestic accident.

D’Banj, a Nigerian artist whose real name is Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, revealed that he was broken after the death of his son, Daniel Oyebanjo III in June 2018. D'Banj and his wife Lineo Didi’s lost their son after a swimming pool accident which occurred in their home in Lagos. The musician was away in the US for the BET Awards.

In what seemed like a restoration acknowledgement, D'Banj revealed that he was indeed broken when his son died in 2018. In an interview with OAP Shopsy of Beat FM London, he revealed that it is never easy to lose a child.
As the Kokomaster narrated his story, he was keen to mention that God had been on his side. He said that it is the mercies of the Lord that were gracious to him and his family. He also thanked everyone who had been with them throughout the trying moments, offering them the much-needed support.

The Oliver Twist hit-maker went on to explain his pain and mentioned that it was not something you even wish on your enemy. He said that they had tried therapy but then decided against it after some time. All the therapy did was bringing back bad memories for the couple.
God gives restoration
Not to say that the pain of the loss of their son had been numbed, but the music star expressed his joy at having been able to channel the pain of the loss into his music. Even though he has not released any of it yet, he believes that God will grant them restoration. D'Banj mentioned that no amount of consolation would be enough for his wife. All he could do was to pray that God restores them. It was at this point that he announced that he would become a father in a few month's time.
D'Banj has been away from the scenes for a while, probably because he was still nursing his hurt-ache from the loss of his child. However, with new music on the way and some sort of relief as a new baby is on the way, things are looking up for the Nigerian musician together with his wife. While there is no getting over the loss of a beloved child, God truly restores.
