Week two Premier League fixtures: Matches to look forward to
In case you did not know, the much anticipated English Premier League is back, and with a bang! The Premier League fixtures commenced on August 9th, 2019, with Liverpool against Norwich setting the centre stage. More matches then followed before week one ended with a hilarious 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea by their arch-rivals Manchester United.
Having kicked off on a high note, we expect that the soccer fans would fill stadiums next weekend to welcome week two of the most loved league around the globe.
Premier League fixtures: week two
As the Premier League 2019/2020 gets to the second matches like scheduled; the teams will be preparing to battle it out after an impressive first-week display. A total of 10 games are scheduled, with the first one starting on Saturday 17th and end on Monday 19th.
Saturday 17th, 2019 fixtures
Seven games are fixed on this day and are spread out from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm EAT.
Arsenal vs Burnley FC
Arsenal will be hosting Burnley FC at their Emirates Stadium. Both teams will be looking forward to getting their second win after a fantastic start of 2019/2020 season. The teams won their first matches with Arsenal‘s 1- 0 narrow win against Newcastle and Burnley’s 3-0 humiliation of Southampton. The game starts at 2:30 pm.
Southampton vs Liverpool FC
The last season’s runners-up will be travelling to St. Mary’s Stadium to battle it out with their hosts. Southampton will be hoping to revive their title hopes after a 3-0 loss to Burnley. Their visitors will expect to take their winning tally to two matches. The game will start at 5:00 pm.

Brighton vs West Ham
Brighton will host, the Hammers at Falmer Stadium at 5:00 pm EAT. This is likely to be an exciting match considering that Brighton won 3-0 against Watford and West Ham was humble by five goals from Manchester City.
Everton vs Watford
After a barren draw against Crystal Place, Marco Silva’s men will be hosting Watford at 5:00 pm at Goodson Park.
Norwich vs Newcastle
Norwich welcomes Newcastle at Carrow Road Stadium. Both teams suffered a defeat to Liverpool and Arsenal respectively and will be striving to register their first win. The game will start at 5:00 pm.
Aston Villa vs Bournemouth
Aston Villa comes back to Premier League intending to finish above the relegation zone. However, having lost to Tottenham last weekend, Dean Smith’s boys will be looking forward to registering a win at Villa Park. However, Bournemouth will also visit hoping to collect more points after their 1-1 draw against the newly promoted Sheffield United.
Manchester City vs Tottenham
Man City against Tottenham is likely to be the most entertaining of all the matches on Saturday. The game will start at 7:30 pm. The host gets into the encounter having hammered West Ham 5 goal to nil last weekend. The visitors, on the other hand, registered a win in their first match against Aston Villa. As the two teams meet at the Etihad Stadium, both would be eyeing a victory.

Sunday 18th, 2019 fixtures
Premier League fixture extends to Sunday, ensuring that as football fans have something to get entertained.
Sheffield United vs Crystal Palace
The Newly promoted Sheffield United will host Crystal Palace at Bramall Lane Stadium. The match kicks off at 4:00 pm EAT. Both teams secured a draw in their first games and would be looking to make a win out of the encounter.
Chelsea vs Leicester City
After the defeat to Manchester United, Frank Lampard is without a doubt looking forward to resuscitating the club’s winning ways. As he welcomes Leicester City, who failed to beat Wolves despite having home advantage Chelsea see this as an opportunity for a comeback.
Monday 19th, 2019 fixture
Week two fixtures will end on Monday with only one match played on this day.
Wolves vs Manchester United
Wolverhampton Wanderers welcomes Manchester United at their Molineux Stadium. The host bagged a point from their week one encounter with Leicester City while Manchester won 4-0 against Chelsea. Will the Red Devils bag their second win?
