Samuel L Jackson: Top Hollywood actor traces ancestral home to Gabon

- Veteran Hollywood actor, Samuel L Jackson, has traced his origin to Gabon

- The top actor who is now a Gabonese passport holder also met Ali Bongo Ondimba, the country's president

- Jackson after meeting the king of the Benga said going back home has made his life journey clearer

Samuel L Jackson, a popular Hollywood actor, has traced his root to Gabon, a country in West Africa, adding that he is originally from Bantu.

It should be noted that Bantu is a popular tribe of most blacks in that part of the continent and so it is not surprising that many blacks in diaspora are also of the tribe too.

Jackson did not only go to Gabon to connect with his origin, he also got a Gabonese passport, adding that he met the king of the Benga.

He said that his journey of life has become so clear with the meeting he had with the monarch. It should be noted that the Benga tribe are also part of the Bantu group.

The popular actor also appreciated the warm reception he received from the Gabonese Ali Bongo Ondimba.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that British-born and popular Hollywood actor, Idris Elba, reportedly revealed a significant part of his career in the entertainment industry.

The actor said he had to fake an American accent, while hiding his British intonation to star in a movie at the early stage of his career.

Elba, who played the interesting character, Stringer Bell, on The Wire, said that the series creator, David Simon, never wanted to hire a non-American actor for a show cast in Baltimore.
