Early life and education
Kevin was born in McLean, Virginia. His parents are Jerry and Donna Hogan. He has siblings including an older brother named Brian, as well as an older sister known as Kelly. It seems as though playing football has always been in the family as his grandfather played for the Navy, whereas his uncles played at Notre Dame.
On matters of education, Hogan went to Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. While there, he played for the Eagles. He was also a two-time first-team All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference selection.
In his senior year, Hogan earned the D.C. Player of the Year honors award. He also made it to the 2010 first-team All-Met selection. In addition to this, he was named the 2010 Outstanding High School Player of the Year for private schools by the Fairfax County Football Hall of Fame. While Hogan played in high school, it was in college, in 2012 that he saw extended play. It was in this same year that he was chosen as Stanford Cardinal's starting quarterback. The Kansas City Chiefs selected him in the fifth round (162nd overall) of the 2016 NFL draft in April. They later released him in September of the same year. He was signed to Cleveland Browns' practice squad in September and the next month moved on to their active roster. He joined Washington Redskins in April 2018 and later in the same year, on September 2nd, he became part of the Denver Broncos who resigned him in March 2019.
