Just in: 5 persons injured as another building collapses in Lagos

- Another building has reportedly collapsed in Lagos state

- The three-storey building collapsed at Ososa area of Bariga

- According to report, men of the Lagos state fire service were already on ground

A three-storey building in Ososa area of Bariga, Lagos state, has reportedly collapsed.

The Nation reports that the building was said to have collapsed around 9.30pm on Sunday, July 28.

Legit.ng gathered that five persons were said to have been rushed to a private hospital with no death recorded.

According to the newspaper, as at the night of Sunday, July 28, men of the Lagos state fire service were already on the ground.

It was, however, gathered that they were unable to gain entry into the area because the road to the scene was really bad and not motorable.

There is no emergency rescue at the scene as at the time of this report.

There have been several cases of building collapse in Lagos state. Recall that two people were on Sunday, June 23, injured when a building already marked for demolition collapsed in the state.

The distressed two-storey building is located at No 35, Adesanya street, off Ayoni Bus stop in the Mafoluku area of Oshodi.

In another report by Legit.ng, a pregnant woman, the proprietor of a Nursery/Primary school and 19 others, including no fewer than 12 pupils died in a collapsed building at Massey Street, Itafaji on Lagos Island on Wednesday, March 13.

The building at 63 Massey Street, it was learnt had been marked for demolition by officials of the Lagos State Building Control Agency. However, the occupants of the building frustrated the demolition.
