Andy Samberg was born on August 18th in the year 1978. How old is Andy Samberg then? His age is 40. He will turn 41 in August this year. His parents are Marjorie Isabela Marrow, a teacher, and Joseph Samberg, a photographer. Andy is three quarters Ashkenazi Jewish and a quarter Italian. His paternal grandparents, David P. Samberg and Sylvia Conviser, are Russian Jewish /Polish Jewish. His mother, Marjorie, was adopted. His adoptive maternal grandfather, Alfred J. Marrow, was an industrial psychologist and philanthropist. He was also the executive chair of the American Jewish Congress.
It was on the show Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates Jr. that Andy found out who is maternal birth grandparents are: Salvatore Samuel Maida, an Italian(Sicilian) from Alimena and Ellen Philipsborn, a German Jewish artist from Nowawes whose family relocated to the United States of America in 1938 as refugees escaping the N*zi regime .
Although it is not known which elementary school Andy attended, it is known that he went to the same elementary school with Chelsea Peretti. It is quite interesting to note that in the comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Andy's character Jake and Chelsea's character Gina are childhood friends who went to the same high school.
Andy attended Willard Junior High School, where he met his best friends Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer, with whom he would later form the comedic trio, The Lonely Island. He graduated from Berkeley High School in 1996 and graduated from N.Y.U. in 2000 with a B.F.A. in Film.
