Police detain suspicious vulture owned by a woman in Adamawa

Adamu Audu Madaki, the state commissioner of police in Adamawa, has confirmed the detention of a suspicious vulture in a small community in the state. The police commissioner said the vulture was detained due to residents' complaints.
On Monday, May 20, Madaki explained that some members of the community in Maiha local government area had reported that the vulture owned by a female member of the community was unnerving them.
They claimed that the last time three vultures were present in the community, Boko Haram terrorist had attacked them. They felt the presence of the vulture was ominous to the community.

According to Daily Sun, the residents had asked that the woman and her vulture be evicted from the community.

This led to a police investigation that resulted in the arrest of both the woman and her pet vulture. The two were transferred to the state capital, Yola, for further investigation.
It was gathered that the vulture is being fed with N5,000 worth of meat every day.
