Movie director Adasa Cookey saves the job of a teller who paid him N4.3m instead of N432k

Movie director Adasa Cookey has taken to social media to narrate what he did after he was paid more money that he requested in the bank. The director explained that he returned the money back to the bank immediately he noticed.

The movie director had explained that he had gone to the bank to withdraw $1,200 (N432,000) but the teller had mistakenly given more money than he requested.

Director Cookey revealed that the teller gave him $12,000 (N4,320,000) instead. He recounted that he did not even know that he was given the wrong amount until he got into his car to leave.

According to him, he had immediately returned to the bank to return the money to the teller. Cookey explained that the teller had been shocked.

The director expressed that the teller had almost fainted when she realised her mistake, and the fact that he had returned the money.
