Naira Marley: Pray for Yahoo boys, they make money go round not politicians
There has been an online debate on internet fraud by Nigerians. Some believe that internet fraud cannot be considered a crime and they justify it by saying internet fraudsters are taking money back from those that took Nigerians as slaves before slavery was abolished.
Nigerian singer Naira Marley has always made it known that he is one of those who believe internet fraud is not a crime. The singer has been in the news for sharing his thoughts on this.
In a recent live video he recorded on Instagram, the singer urged Nigerians to pray for Yahoo boys rather than berate them. He noted that Yahoo boys make their money go round.
Marley further expressed that Yahoo boys are the reason why some Nigerians have money to spend because they make money circulate.

He said: “All you guys, all the money in your pockets, all the money you spend, you think it’s the government that is making the money go round? You better sit down and pray for yahoo boys. If them stop yahoo, the money would not pass you guys.
"The money will go like this, from Obasanjo to Tinubu, from Tinubu to Mr Japa, you think me I need Yahoo? I make money from my music.”

Many say that internet fraud is basically robbing unsuspecting victims of their hard earned money. Those, who believe that internet fraud or Yahoo Yahoo is a crime, have even called out some Nigerian musicians who sing songs that many believe glorifies internet fraud.
Legit.ng had earlier reported that Nigerian singer Simi had asked Nigerians to stop glorifying the work of Yahoo boys. She also asked Yahoo boys not to buy her songs, or listen to them.

In another news, Nigerian rapper Ruggedman called out Naira Marley on his opinion on internet fraud. Ruggedman asked Marley not to justify cyber-crime by saying it is not a crime but a job, warning him to respect the black race.
